Torch Relay of the Children of Asia Games: 4,000 km left behind
Participants of the Children of Asia Games Torch Relay overcame 4,000 km. Today the runners are in Churapchinsky Uluus, where they will meet with populace.
From the start of the Relay the runners visited 7 uluuses and 35 settlements of Yakutia. On average they run about 200 km.
Let us remind you that on March 28 on the Kisilyakh sacred mountain in Yakutia the Fire of the Children of Asia Games was lit in an old way – by striking sparks from flint. Then was the start of the Children of Asia Games’ Torch relay. The torchbearers to overcome 32,256 km and visit 197 settlements of Yakutia in 100 days.
The group consists of: Dmitry Gorokhov – leader of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) healthy life-style movement, Valery Kupriyanov – prize-winner of republican track and field competitions, Yuri Filippov – winner and prize-winner of republican track and field and ski competitions.
